FF11 (Football Fiesta 2011) is presented by Ecoworks International Inc. (ECOWORKS), Save the Earth Communication-Japan (SEC-JAPAN) in cooperation with the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) which was held last April 13, 2011 from 9:00am-4:00pm at the Philsports Complex (formerly ULTRA), Pasig City.
FF11 aims to instill the value of sportsmanship and camaraderie among our football teams and clubs. In addition, it is also an opportunity to showcase Filipino prowess in football in particular and culture in general to the players/visitors from Japan. FF11 is U-13 friendly games to be participated by a football team from Polillo Island, Quezon province called the Team Islanders, team from Peaceboat-Japan, and invited teams from local schools and institutions. The event’s highlight is the turning over of donated soccer balls and football equipments like jerseys, soccer shoes to participating teams by Peace Boat-Japan.
According to Peace Boat-Japan is a Japan-based international non-governmental and non-profit organization. It has a program called Peace Ball: Peace Boat through Sports. This is done through friendly soccer matches between Peace Boat participants and teams from local communities, the Peace Ball project utilizes the positive power of the world’s most popular sport to foster friendship across cultural and language barriers.
Invited teams are from less-fortunate communities, some are under PFF’s corporate social responsibility. The teams are as follows:
